About Our Practice

Murray Scholls Vision Center is pleased to offer a wide range of optometric services, eye care products including eyeglasses, specialty eyewear, frames, and contact lenses. Our staff is happy to help however we can.

Our mission is our patients having the best possible experience from check-in to check-out at any of our clinics. It shows in everything that we do. From your first contact with us to your appointment and your follow-up, we aim to make your eye care experience great. This is what drives us to provide you with the best care year after year!

Dr. Brad Smith

Dr. Brad Smith received his Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Science and his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University. He received the American Academy of Optometry’s Julius F. Neumeller Award in Optics and the Beta Sigma Kappa Research Design Award in 1987, and the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association’s Young Optometrist of the Year in 1997. Dr. Smith joined our practice in 1987.

Dr. Smith enjoys golfing, flying, barefoot water-skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Elaine Wyner

Dr. Elaine Wyner earned her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Health Sciences from Oregon State University in 2013 and she went on to receive her Doctor Of Optometry from Pacific University in 2017. During her time at Pacific University, she completed clinical rotations with ICON LASIK, the Portland VA Medical Center, and several private practices in Oregon and Washington.

Dr. Wyner enjoys running, cycling, swimming, playing tennis, and spending time with her friends and family.

About Our Team

Our team of eye care professionals is experienced and friendly. We’re here to help all patients understand their benefits, schedule appointments, and fulfill their eye doctor’s orders. Our opticians can give you guidance in picking out your perfect pair of eyewear, and our friendly office staff is knowledgeable about billing and benefits coverage.

Katie – Office Manager

Katie began working at Tigard Vision Center in the beginning of 2007 as our Office Manager. Prior to managing the office, she practiced law in the State of Washington for 15 years. Since coming to work in the field of Optometry, Katie has developed a new passion for eye health, eye wear, and superior patient care.

She continues to be an active member of the Washington State Bar and the Oregon State Bar. Her hobbies include volunteering at her son’s school, golfing, snow skiing and spending time with family and friends.

Megan – Optician

Megan came to us in November, 2014 after working for a large eye care facility in Minot, North Dakota as an ophthalmic assistant.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the coast and various festivals around Portland, as well as spending time with her family, friends and two children.

Paige – Optometric Assistant

Paige joined the Tigard Vision Center team in 2016.

She graduated from Northwest University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. Since graduating she worked in the food manufacturing industry but wanted a change and joined Tigard Vision Center. In her spare time she enjoys running, reading and watching movies.

Kristen – Executive Administrative Assistant

Having graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2008, Kristen started working in the healthcare industry within the Durable Medical Equipment sector while living in Meridian, Idaho. She moved to Portland in 2015 and began working at Tigard Vision Center during the Spring of 2018. She loves to take road trips, cozy up to her dogs, Lola and Conan, and stay active with friends. Kristen is also a U-Jam Fitness Instructor and she loves to dance!

Brianna – Billing Specialist

Brianna graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelors degree in Social Science. She started her career working as a vision screener for preschoolers within Head Start programs and began working at Murray Scholls Vision Center during March of 2019. In her spare time, she likes to volunteer with children in her community and spend time with her friends and family.

Whitney – Front Desk

Whitney began working for Murray Scholls Vision Center during the spring of 2019. She wants to travel the world & loves the ocean and snow. Cooking is her passion. Whitney also likes to play disc golf and spend time with her fur babies.
